In early 1999 at Junior High School English language learning was very concerned. English was just taught as a general subject. The lesson was only twice in a week. So that many students still didn't understand,even there wasn't able it at all.It was looked like Junior High School 1 in Kudus 1999, from 240 students less than 20% that could join english learning. Even only 10 students who could join subject clearly. It's very ironic,because this school was a measurement of Junior High School education in Kudus.
In 1999,English learning for Senior High School was almost some like english learning before. The difference with learning english in Junior High School,in Senior High School had been already have an introduction to reading,speaking and listening. But the influence of capability in english was still so concerned. For example Senior High School 1 Kudus that should be measurement of the other Senior High School in Kudus,from 340 students less than 35% of students that had capability in english and less that 40 students that really be able in english,or we can say that less that one class in Senior High School 1 Kudus that really be able in english.
But since there was a goverment rules about RSBI ( International Standart of School Path) learning english in Junior High School and Senior High School could be improved with an austanding rate. Even Could be said it was very fantastic. This raising was showed by raising of english capability from Junior High School and Senior High School students. Possibly because RSBI used gueding and delivery book that was used by english teacher to motivate Junior and Senior High School students.so that they more interested in english,because they joined RSBI learning process.
